Job Description:

Architect, develop and implement the Big Data/ML platform using EMR, open source ML frameworks, and Spark.
Assist in building out the DevOps strategy for hosting and managing the infrastructure in AWS cloud.
Design and implement big data technologies around Apache Hadoop, Spark, and ML Frameworks in a large enterprise at scale
Lead agile development projects for enterpriselevel systems component design and implementation

Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in relevant Big Data/Cloud architect roles
Bachelor degree in Technical discipline; Masters preferred
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated track record delivering scalable, highperformance bigdata and ML platforms to production in a large enterprise.
Deep understanding of the internals of Spark and the Hadoop ecosystem including 5+ years experience with Spark and Hadoop.
Strong coder who can implement in various programming languages including Scala and Java following the common patterns and best practices.
Application performance tuning (Spark/Hadoop/EMR, Java, Scala).
Must have shell scripting Linux experience and thorough understanding of DevOps practices.
Financial Industry experience preferred
