Architect cum Port Designer

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Architect cum Port Designer to join our team. As an Architect cum Port Designer, you will be responsible for the development of Urban Design Guidelines and the design of utility structures for port planning, development, upgradation, and modernization projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop Urban Design Guidelines for port projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, aesthetics, and functionality.

2. Design utility structures such as administrative buildings, warehouses, terminals, and other facilities within the port area.

3. Collaborate with urban planners, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate architectural designs with overall port infrastructure plans.

4. Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to assess spatial requirements, environmental factors, and regulatory constraints.

5. Create conceptual sketches, renderings, and architectural drawings to communicate design ideas and concepts.

6. Prepare detailed architectural plans, specifications, and construction documents for utility structures.

7. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure the timely and cost-effective implementation of architectural designs.

8. Incorporate sustainable design principles and green building practices into architectural designs.

9. Review and evaluate design proposals and construction drawings submitted by external parties.

10. Provide technical expertise and support to project teams throughout the design and construction phases.

11. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing architectural design and construction.

Qualifications:

1. Post-graduation in Architecture.

2. Ph.D. or M.Phil. candidates are preferable.

3. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of port planning, development, upgradation, or modernization projects.

4. Strong design skills and proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.

5. Knowledge of urban design principles, building codes, and construction practices.
