The Community Vertical is one of the fastest growing verticals of Seventh Sense and executes projects in partnership with UNICEF, United Nations Development Program (UNDP), NASSCOM
Foundation, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Karnataka Skill Development
Corporation and National Livelihood Mission, Government of Karnataka amongst others.
Our key projects focus on the children, youth and women empowerment program including children and youth innovation/Start-up program, innovation and entrepreneurship, skill training and placement assistance, capacity building program for women and market linkage etc.

In this context, Seventh Sense plans to strengthen its project implementation team and enhance meaningful engagement with multi stakeholders including the Government, donor agencies, educational institutions, employers etc.
Overview of the job requirements
The proposal writer's responsibilities include gathering information on the RFPs/ EOI/ Tenders/
CSR Requirements etc., preparation of the draft proposal based on the discussion with the supervisors/thematic team and revise the proposal as per their feedback/suggestions, submission and follow up with the donor agencies
.
S/he shall get the opportunity to develop innovative strategies for promoting sustainable program for children, youth and women to enhance their socio-economic status.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify the relevant Request for proposals (RFPs)/ Expression of Interests (EoIs)/
- Understand the scope of requirements in detail and discuss with the thematic experts to get inputs and suggestion to prepare a detailed proposal aligning with the requirements.
- Writing the strategic, compelling, and responsive technical proposal as per the donor's requirements.
- Attend the prebid meetings/meeting with the donor to understand the project in detail and get clarification of the queries.
- Present to the thematic experts and supervisors to get their suggestions to finalize the proposal including executive summary, implementation strategies, detailed time lines, proposed team profile, financials etc.
- The proposal should be designed and include info graphics/ visuals / Text boxes for easy representation.
- Responsible for proposal submission as per the donor instructions with all the relevant documents.
- Tracking the proposal submissions, progress, response to queries etc
- Prepare the organization pitch deck including the portfolio sectors, impact created so far, existing partnerships etc
- Manage all the organization project files, documents, concept notes/proposal/Pitch decks, correspondence etc.
- Represent the organization in meetings/seminars/conferences etc
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Recruitment Qualifications:
(Ideal)
A Master's degree in Social Work /Public Policy /Public Administration/ Statistics
/Finance/ Economics/Business Economics/ Commerce/Business Administration and relevant field would be preferred.
Experience:
- Experience at the state/national level in social sector project proposal writing. (preferred)
- Familiarity with development sector requirements focusing on education, skill development, startup/innovation, women empowerment, livelihoods and economic opportunities etc
- Experience in working with the Government/CSR funded project is an advantage.
- Experience with data driven, evidencebased decision making, including statistical analysis and other data related activities is preferred.
- The proposal writer should be articulate, have excellent written communication skills, and be able to work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines.
Language Requirements:
Should be well versed in English, knowledge of other language Kannada/Tamil/Telugu/Hindi is preferable.
