Description

As a Food and Beverage (F&B) Associate with the General Services Administration (GSA), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and seamless operation of F&B services within our facilities.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass various aspects of food and beverage management, including customer service, inventory control, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence: Provide exceptional service to all patrons by greeting them warmly, assisting with menu selections, and ensuring their overall satisfaction with their dining experience.

Food Preparation and Presentation: Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages according to established recipes and standards. This includes ensuring proper portion control, food safety, and quality assurance.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels. Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and receiving of goods as needed.

Cash Handling and Point of Sale (POS)

Operations:
Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems. Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment securely and in compliance with organizational policies.

Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all F&B areas, including dining areas, kitchens, and storage areas. Follow established cleaning procedures and guidelines to uphold food safety regulations.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other F&B team members, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service delivery.

Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including those set forth by local health departments and GSA policies. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly to management.


Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in hospitality management or culinary arts preferred.
• Prior experience in a food service or hospitality role, preferably in a similar F&B setting.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and multitask as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
