Description

Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.

Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using bug tracking systems.

Collaborate with the development team to investigate and reproduce reported defects and issues.

Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software stability and reliability.

Conduct regression testing to verify fixes and prevent regression of previously resolved issues.

Participate in the design and implementation of testing frameworks, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and project managers, to ensure software quality standards are met.

Provide timely and accurate status updates on testing progress, defects, and issues to stakeholders.

Continuously enhance testing methodologies and best practices to improve overall software quality.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in software testing and quality assurance.

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Proven experience as a QA Tester or similar role, preferably in a software development environment.

Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases.

Familiarity with manual and automated testing techniques and tools.

Knowledge of bug tracking systems and experience in logging and tracking defects.

Proficiency in using testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).

Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

ISTQB or similar certifications are a plus.
