Northern Trust is looking for a

Consultant to join its Technology Development Centre in Pune, India in the Trade Instruction Portal team. This individual as part of an Agile development team, will be responsible for analysis, design and development of Java, React, Database and shell script components that meet business and technical requirements.

Major Duties

Design and develop Java, React and Database components based on documents that fit within technical framework as outlined by technical architects
Ability to understand and deliver modules independently
Ensure code meets standards and tested appropriate to the platform
Provide technical guidance to the development team
A team player with an ability to own the design and code as per requirement given.
Communicate status (written and verbal) to project team and management

Experience/ Skills

Experience

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
79 years experienced Java, Spring Boot, SQL consultant who will be responsible for design and develop highly efficient, scalable and customizable reporting solutions using on premises and external sources.
Experience in multitiered, complex system design & architecture

Required Skills:

Knowledge of SDLC and Agile development practices
Expert level knowledge of Core Java, Spring Boot, JPA's and Hibernate.
Expert level of understanding of React development and deployment.
Intermediate level understanding of cloud infrastructure
Azure
Intermediate in Implementing API driven Micro services or cloud native development
Intermediate in implementing security best practices to API platform
Oauth/SAML, Encryptions, masking etc.
Experience in Asynch processing /Batch streaming to handle high volume data.
Knowledge of scripting languages
Javascripts, Python, powershell etc.
Knowledge of testing methodologies. Zest or equivalent, Junit or equivalent.
Manage permissions, backup and performance across different databases like MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres etc
Knowledge of SQL and related SQL procedure languages.
Good analytical and problemsolving skills
Both attention to detail & ability to rise above details to see broader implications & recommend strategic solutions
Selfstarter; Positive & adaptable in a continually changing environment
Ability to work independently and with a team
Proven interpersonal and communication skills with technical & business partners

Preferred/ Recommended Skills:

Familiarity with Banking/Financial domain

Financial domain knowledge

Money markets.
Work on Project involving migrating on Premise data to Cloud platform
Worked on project streamlining the testing process by introducing automation, leveraging tools and setting goals to reduce time and effort.
