Responsible for checking the technical requirements with the specifications offered by vendor, doing 1st round of negotiation with the vendor for a particular category of item

Job AccountabilitiesFloating enquiry for the assigned items (depending on the user requirement)

Matching the correctness of the technical requirements given by User and the technical specifications given by vendor and raise any shortcomings to Sr.

Buyer/Buying Manager

Doing the first round of negotiation with vendors and giving the details to buying manager

for finalizing the deal with the vendorOrdering of the finalized items and making the appropriate entries in SAP system

Timely response and resolution of Internal and External audit issues related to procurement and in some cases escalating it to Sr. Buyer/Buying Manager

Job description for the position of 'Buyer - P&C' RCs

Job Accountabilities:

Execution & Managing of Procurement Portfolio Activities related to Materials (Especially, Sheet Metals, Fabricated Materials & BOP's Materials).
Material Procurement Portfolio Activities:
Procurement of Various Sheet Metal Parts, Fabricated Materials, BOP Materials & Other Materials Based on Requirements from End Users.
Preparation & Execution of RFQ's, Technical & Commercial QCS, Proposals & PO's.
Periodic Monitoring & Insurance of Material Deliverables by Vendors.
Periodic Monitoring & Insurance of Post POs Grievances Like On-Time Vendor Payments by Finance, GST Returns by Vendors Etc. In
Coordination with Cross Functional

Teams.

Preparation, Monitoring & Maintenance of PRs-POs, Post PO's Governance Trackers.
Periodic Vendors Audits & Performance Evaluations.
Vendor Developments, Evaluations & On-Boarding's as per Organizational SOP.
Compliance & Adherence to Statutory / Regulatory / Organization Policies & SOP's Requirements.

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills):

Familiarity with various types of Sheet Metals, Fabricated & BOP's Materials Procurement.
Sound Knowledge of ZBC (Zero Based Costing) / Should Costing.
Sound Market Intelligence related to Metals Pricing & their Indices.
Knowledge of Technical, Quality & Safety Needs Related to Sheet Metals, BOPs & Fabricated Materials.
Familiarity with various types of Materials Contracts (Engineering Materials, Consumables, Etc.).
Exposure of Handling OEM Spares, Consumables & Contract Methodology, etc.

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications):
Full Time Bachelor's Degree (Preferably Mechanical Engineering) with overall 3-5 Years of relevant work experience

Education Requirement:

B. Tech / B E

Experience Requirement:

2-6 years of experience with exposure to respective category sourcing and manufacturing

Desirable

Experience in category-based purchasing

Experience of supply management in similar plant operations environment
