Introduction:
This role will start of as an Individual Contributor / Tech SME in Compliance Technology.

Reporting to the APAC RTB Lead, the L2 AME will work alongside a team of L2 support analysts, L2 leads to support a wider range for services within the Compliance technology portfolio.

Knowledge management, sharing and retention will be a key function of the role, and of the entire L2 team.


Working between the Level 1 team and the development team, the person in this role will act as a technical SME and escalation for all technical matters.

The role will be responsible for ensuring incidents are resolved within defined SLAs and OLAs by the SMEs and designing fixes where required.

For any required fixes the RTB L2 lead lead will work with the development team to build and test fixes, and the subsequent deployment.

In addition the RTB L2 lead will be responsible for the deployment of new change into the production environment.

This role will fill in for the L2 leads across various portfolios of Functions Technology as and when required.

What will you be doing?

  • Perform incident and problem management activities, including working closely with technology and business stakeholders to provide innovative and tactical solutions to issues as well as improving the performance of our Applications and processes; this will include managing major incidents, performing post incident reviews and coordinating with our various 3rd party suppliers
  • Lead planning and execution timelines/activities of various major releases and critical changes into Production and DR environments in collaboration with our development and technology support teams; this will include creating & managing change requests in accordance with Barclays Change Management standards
  • Independently identify repetitive or time consuming processes that can be automated, especially where they benefit multiple business areas, and deliver a sustainable solution that can be leveraged for other areas as needed.
  • Coordination of various support activities across the global team, including handover of issues, knowledge sharing, training and collaboration on strategic projects
  • Offhours oncall support will be required for this role on a rotational basis
  • Work closely with the wider global Compliance technology teams to ensure best utilisation of resource and allocation of BAU work.
  • Implement and adhere to ITIL standards across the team.

What we're looking for:

  • ITIL awareness
  • Incident and problem management, stake holder management etc.
  • Salesforce experience is must. Preferably salesforce certified.
  • Good Knowledge on databases like SQL, PL/SQL or Oracle and UNIX, Shell / Perl scripting and Python scripting knowledge.
  • Exposure to scheduling Tools like Autosys or Ctrl-M
  • Experience for monitoring tool ( App Dynamics, Splunk, Geneos, Wiley Introscope ), Dev Ops exposure, Automation experience

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Exposure to programming ( J2EE)
  • Hadoop ( HDFS, MapReduce) support and implementation, managing Hadoop cluster ,loading data from disparate data sets, managing hBase,
  • ETL(AbInitio) experience.
