    Job Description: Junior Data Scientist

    Overall Experience: 2-4 years

    I. PROJECT OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES:

    The scope of this engagement includes:

    • Understanding and measuring the impact of various marketing activities on sales, encompassing both traditional and new media, utilizing Data Science Models.
    • Evaluating the sensitivity of sales to changes in various media investments.
    • Developing a scenario planner tool along with an optimizer to conduct "what if" scenarios and comprehend optimal investments across channels.
    • Adhering to the client's pre-existing processes regarding approach, granularity, and output format.

    II. SCOPE OF WORK:

    The Junior Data Scientist shall provide the following deliverables to the client, subject to acceptance conditions as noted below:

    • Engineer datasets in requisite formats for analysis.
    • Implementation and execution of ROIE (Return on Investment Effectiveness) data science models, delivering working models in R programming language.
    • Provision of sample predicted output for test data to validate model performance.
    • Development of a codebase for data preparation and model output, ensuring transparency and replicability.
    • Compilation of key insights and results in PowerPoint slides accompanied by supporting spreadsheets.
    • Creation of an Excel-based "What if" scenario planner, inclusive of optimization capabilities.

    Acceptance Conditions: The deliverables shall be deemed acceptable upon meeting the specified criteria outlined in the project requirements and achieving the desired level of accuracy and reliability in model predictions.

    This role requires a candidate with a solid foundation in data science methodologies, proficiency in R / Python programming, and strong communication skills to effectively present insights to stakeholders. The Junior Data Scientist will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making processes and optimizing marketing investments for enhanced business outcomes.
