Role Summary


WSP india is currently seeking a
CAD
Technican -Piping for AU Mining infrastrcuture, Who shall be responsible for creation and editing of drawings in compliance with WSP CAD Standards and detailing practices as well as producing high quality output using Autodesk Plant 3D or Bentley Openplant.


The position is for NOIDA location.
A Team player and willing to work collaboratively with a motivated and highly successful team in Australia.


Responsibilities:


  • This role is for a CAD technicnain
  • Piping to contribute on mining Infrastructure projects, deliverables in compliance with WSP CAD standards.
  • Responsible for Preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings, using Autodesk Plant 3D softwares Bentley Openplant (pipe models and isometrics) with quality and accuracy.
  • Responsible for Preparation creating and adminstering projects setup and specificaitons.
  • Familiar with the relevant International Standards, and able to learn and understand client's standards and specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD or piping ISO drawings and models to assist with investigations of engineering problems.
  • The ability to creates and modify detailed engineering drawings using 2D/3D AutoCAD or Bently software packages based on information supplied by engineers and designers.
  • Create and Draft PFDs, PIDs, work on equipment and piping 3D model development and
  • Develop detail design drawings incorporating vendor 2D and 3D drawings for Mining projects
  • Liaise with the design teams as necessary to coordinate 3D Model design processes and production.
  • Capable of multitasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.
  • Reviewing drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards;
  • Coordinate with a multidisciplinary project team;
  • Coordinating with Australian lead offices as per project requirement.
  • Responsible for CAD tasks as directed by the CAD Manager and Engineer.
  • Responsible for Material and Quantity take off and underground utility coordination.
  • Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process.
  • Ensure drawings are issued and filed in an appropriate manner with following WSP QA process.
  • Carry out audits of adherence to WSP Management and Quality processes and implement corrective measures where required.
  • Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager.
  • Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
  • Develop expertise and stay abreast of developments in Drafting skills.
  • Support the companies approach to sustainability.
  • Be willing to learn and be polyvalent.
  • Autodesk vault or Bently Projectwise experince would be an asset.

Mandatory skills

We anticipate you will have an interest in the following areas:

  • To contribute to growing Mining Infrastructure Teams with CAD related works using Autodesk Plant 3D or Bentley Openplant
  • Knowledge of preparing piping specifications on AUTODESK Plant 3D.
  • You will also be computer literate with a reasonable proficiency in AutoCAD, MS office suite.
  • As well as having a thirst for knowledge, cultural awareness, an open mind and good English communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Coordinating his/her work with other members of the Team.
  • Work competently with mínimal supervision or on an individual basis.

Qualifications:


  • 48 years of experience in Piping/Mechanical 3D drafting and modeling.
  • Minimum of a Diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to the detail.
  • Familiar with working in a LEAN environment.
  • Experience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English
  • Experience with Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Revit, Navisworks, Vault, BIM 360 or Bentley openplant and Projectwise
