    Description

    Type: Direct Payroll

    Experience: 5-8years

    Role: OS Admin-L2

    Certifications

    OCA & OCP Solaris 10 / 11 Administration or IBM Certified System Administrator (Mandatory)

    Role Description

    The role holder will be responsible for providing L1 /L2 OS administration support.

    Qualification & Experience

    1. Tech / BE
    • years of relevant experience
    • ability to plan and execute workload in a pressurized & dynamic environment.
    • Certified or a strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management disciplines.

    Skills Required

    Technical skills

    • Knowledge in OS administration processes and concepts.
    • to direct and guide team to resolve crisis situations within prescribed SLAs

    Analytical skills

    • analytical, trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.

    Process skills

    • to resolve service requests. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes.

    Other skills

    Documentation and reporting skills. Should be a quick learner and have good communication and interpersonal skill. Should be willing to work in a 24*7 environment and a good team player.

    • AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • out of hours cover as agreed with the Team Leader
    • consistency across staging/production and Disaster recovery systems as defined in SLA for each setup.
    • hardware and system-level problems to AMC Vendors.
    • patching activity on all servers
    • Hardware failures. Disks, Memory, Power supply, etc.
    • Software Issues. OS level problems, SSH/SFTP problems.

    Providing CPU, Memory and core utilization of VMWARE instances on daily basis.

    • log movement as per bank policy and managing log movement inventory
    • on the requests of development and support team on staging and UAT setup
    • of servers as per bank policy
    • administration of all servers
    • operating system utilization patterns and preparing reports.
    • servers for hardware errors like hard disk, RAM, CPU failures/warnings and notifying appropriate service providers and working on the same till closure.
    • NFS/NAS issues.
    • proactively with other Infrastructure support teams such as Database, Network, Storage, Monitoring etc.
    • issues and associated resolutions to problems
    • documentation and presentation of progress reports to customers
