Your Role and Responsibilities
The Workload Automation Operations Team is a 24x7 support system. Members are responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting / escalating workload issues in development, acceptance, and production environments. There are Eight Control M servers controlling over five thousand agents around the world, managing approximately 35K jobs daily.

  • The role of the senior associate in workload automation operations will center on the following points.
  • Ownership of the workload automation environments to included, but not be limited to:
  • Proactive monitoring of automated processing and taking action on processing failures, various alerts and general work flows within the workload environment.
  • Creating tickets, escalation and documentation of workload processing issues as directed by PSP, or specific instructions embedded in job definitions.
  • Assisting with managing batches to mitigate impact on Service or Operating Level Agreements.
  • Creating and decommissioning of batch schedules within the scheduling tool, following documentation and department protocols.
  • Assisting with modifications of automated processing and workflows within the workload environments, per request via Service-Now ticketing system.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation and reporting for supported environments.
  • The role requires the individual to operate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within their scope of the workload automation solution providing level 3 production support.
  • This requires the individual to work closely with the subteam lead for workload automation. In addition, the role requires decision making / input relating to Use of their Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in all Control M components to provide fault tolerant schedules and alerting.
  • Provide advice and assistance to our clients concerning the changing workload environment when better practices are identified.
  • Seeking various automation opportunities wherever possible, utilizing various EY supported tools.
  • Reviewing Service and Incident tickets and working with support in managing batches in production and nonproduction environments.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient with Control-M workload automation software
  • Version 9.0.
  • Intermediate knowledge on BIM, AFT, SAP, Control modules, Self Service within Control-M and SFTP.
  • Basic knowledge to navigate through various OS systems and execute scripts (Windows, Unix, Linux, Oracle/ SQLPlus).
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and manage the ticketing queue (i.e. Service Now or any other ticketing platform).
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint and Service No.

  • Basic project management and reporting skills.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate business needs.
  • ITIL training a plus.
