JD for Test Engineer

Experience : 2+ years


Qualification:

• B.E./B.Tech in Information Technology or equivalent / Trained Fresher
• Fresher
• OR Diploma in similar streams with equivalent adjustment of number of years of experience

Work Context:

• Analyze requirements, design and implement tests that ensure quality and functionality of the web based, mobile based and desktopbased products and components.
• Create test scenarios, strategies based on user stories
• Working with other teams to test the business solution, and implement it using appropriate technology and tools
• Work on allocated items and ensure timely and quality completion of work

Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and wellstructured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of nonconforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay uptodate with new testing tools and test strategies
• Documentations (Test cases, scenarios, RTM, release notes etc.)
• Guide installation process for scheduled launches.
• User training and demos

Required skills

Should have exhibited skills in below areas

• Strong knowledge in various OS like windows, Linux
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Handson experience with both white box and black box testing
• Basic knowledge of HTML, SQL server, MySQL,
• Handson experience on tools like Selenium, Bugzilla, test link
• Basic knowledge on deployment methodologies
• Should know GIT Repository management
• Manual and automation testing

Preference given to

People having experience exhibited in below areas

• Experience in Automation testing using selenium
• Proven experience in database level testing
• Worked with Version Control systems like Git
• Familiarity with tools like POSTMAN, SWAGGER for REST API and JSON testing
• Product Development and Support understanding
• Explored RPA tools like UIPath, Automation Anywhere etc.
• Cloud awareness like MS-Azure, AWS, Digital Ocean etc.
