Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including cutting, peeling, and measuring. Follow recipes and guidelines provided by more senior chefs.
Cooking:
Assist in the cooking process, such as grilling, frying, sautéing, and baking. Ensure that food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets quality standards.
Plating and Presentation:
Assist in the plating and presentation of dishes. Pay attention to detail and follow established guidelines for garnishing and decorating plates.
Cleaning and Sanitation:
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area. Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment as per food safety standards.
Inventory Management:
Assist in the inventory control and stock rotation to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Notify senior chefs or supervisors of any shortages or quality issues.
Collaboration:
Work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Follow instructions and contribute to a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
