Product Owner (Product Manager)

About the role:
- Contribute to Agile product development team(s) as Product Owner, attending daily
team, and assisting with backlog maintenance, sprint planning and review meetings
- Develop and maintain a healthy backlog for new requirements in line with defined
- Articulate the vision and roadmap in long
development efforts
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather clarity on requirements and
- Manage priorities and project deliverables to support delivery of highquality
- Liaise between project teams and internal stakeholders (e.g. engineering,
manage/align project schedules, and motivate team
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team to articulate and clarify requirements
- Perform risk assessments and analyses to prioritize and make tradeoffs to ensure on
- Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels including
feature deliveries
Skills & Experience:
- 3 to 6 years participating in or managing crossfunctional product development teams
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Innovative team player with the ability to proactively and creatively solve problems
- Passion for creating innovate technology solutions for students and teachers
- Experience leading and managing a featurerich product roadmap (aligning it to business
- Demonstrated success and experience leading teams with Agile methodologies and tools
- Knowledge of education technology (K12) industry technology trends, user experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills and an ability to present business cases,
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and make difficult decisions with speed
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education, business, or technical discipline preferred
- Agile Product Manager/Owner Certification preferred
- Previous work with product or development teams both colocated and distributed
