As a South Indian Cook in our restaurant, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of authentic South Indian dishes to satisfy our customers' culinary cravings.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our South Indian menu items, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.


Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation:

Prepare a range of South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, rasam, curries, and various rice dishes like biryanis and pulavs.

Work with fresh ingredients to create high-quality, flavorful South Indian dishes.

Menu Development:

Collaborate with the head chef and management to create and innovate South Indian menu items that cater to various customer preferences.

Experiment with new recipes while keeping the traditional South Indian flavors intact.

Cooking and Presentation:
Ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection, following standard recipes and portion sizes.
Pay attention to presentation, garnishing, and plating to make the dishes visually appealing.

Quality Control:
Maintain food quality and consistency by following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards.

Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory, including ingredient procurement, storage, and rotation.
Notify the management when supplies are running low to prevent shortages.

Kitchen Organization:
Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen appliances and equipment.

Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the kitchen staff, including chefs, sous chefs, and other cooks, to coordinate and expedite orders.
Communicate effectively with the front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.

Adaptability:
Be open to feedback and willing to adapt to changes in the menu or cooking methods.
Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and techniques, especially in South Indian cuisine.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a South Indian cook in a restaurant setting.
  • Indepth knowledge of South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for food quality.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay:
₹30, ₹35,000.00 per month
