Overall Purpose of The Job

The Group Internal Auditor will be responsible for assisting the Group Internal Audit Manager to plan the internal audits to address the risks, performing testing, preparing documentation of results and performing root cause analysis when audit findings are identified.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Audit execution
Actively participate in all audit commencement discussions with the Group Internal Audit Manager, Group Internal Audit Senior Manager and Head of Internal Controls to identify the key focus areas.
Execute on the annual audit plan. Ensure timely and effective end to end delivery of audits, collaborating across the function.
Perform global audits to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls as per the agreed project plan.
Prepare quality documentation for testing of processes and controls. Resolve any review comments from the Group Internal Audit Manager in a timely manner.

Reporting and monitoring

Identify areas of control gaps and weaknesses in processes, systems and structures and report these to the Group Internal Audit Manager.
Identify control weaknesses and audit findings resulting in cost savings and/or financial exposure and report these to the Group Internal Audit Manager.
Support the Group Internal Audit Manager in tracking management's action plans for remediating audit findings until they are closed. Work with senior stakeholders across the business to close the audit findings.

Audit Plan

Support the Group Internal Audit Manager and Group Internal Audit Senior Manager to collate and interpret information from the business to prepare the annual internal audit plan.

Learning and Development

Enhance skills and competence through selfstudy, online courses and training programs.

Other

Assist the Group Internal Audit Manager with documenting policies and procedures to reduce risk in the business and drive further standardisation.
Support other finance enhancement projects and integrations. Deliver on project objectives within agreed timelines.

Required Experience

ESSENTIAL:
Bachelor's / University degree with a major in finance, business or accounting.
Relevant years of external or internal audit experience
Strong understanding of IFRS.
Experience in accounting and financial systems.
Ability to work well under pressure, whilst producing results.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multitask and handle large volumes of work efficiently and accurately.
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
Strong stakeholder management and ability to work with various functions and cultures.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills are essential.
Energetic and selfmotivated with the drive to operate effectively in ambiguity.
Willing to travel as required.

DESIRABLE:

An accounting qualification such as ACA/ACCA or equivalent is a plus but not essential.
