    Description

    Job Description :

    - We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience to join our team.

    - The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle database technologies and proven expertise in managing complex database environments.

    - As an Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our organization's Oracle databases.

    Responsibilities :

    Database Installation and Configuration :

    Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related products.

    Database Design and Maintenance :

    Design and implement database structures, schemas, and objects.

    - Perform database maintenance tasks such as backup and recovery, data migration, and space management.

    Performance Tuning :

    Monitor and optimize database performance by analyzing system resource utilization, query execution plans, and database statistics.

    - Implement performance tuning strategies to improve database efficiency and response times.

    Security Management :

    Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.

    - Manage user access controls, roles, and privileges.

    - Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

    Backup and Recovery :

    Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies.

    - Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

    High Availability and Disaster Recovery :

    Configure and manage high availability solutions such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard.

    - Implement disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.

    Database Monitoring and Troubleshooting :

    Monitor database performance and availability using monitoring tools and utilities.

    - Identify and resolve database issues and errors in a timely manner.

    Patch Management :

    Apply database patches, updates, and patches to maintain system stability and security.

    - Plan and coordinate patching activities to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.

    Capacity Planning :

    Monitor database growth and resource utilization trends.

    - Forecast future capacity requirements and plan for scalability and expansion as needed.

    Documentation and Reporting :

    Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and operational processes.

    - Generate regular reports on database performance, availability, and security compliance.

    Requirements :

    - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

    - 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in a production environment.

    - Expertise in Oracle database installation, configuration, and administration.

    - In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, concepts, and features.

    - Proficiency in Oracle database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.

    - Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.

    - Experience with Oracle high availability solutions such as RAC and Data Guard.

    - Familiarity with database backup and recovery techniques and tools.

    - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    - Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    - Oracle certification (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional) is a plus.
