    Role Profile:

    • We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud engineer to transition our application to the cloud.
    • The ideal candidate should have a solid background in cloud computing, particularly with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and vast experience in containerization technologies.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with application development teams to comprehend application requirements and dependencies.
    • Deploy applications to AWS environments using containerization for enhanced scalability and manageability.
    • Manage the application lifecycle on the cloud, including updates, scaling, and end-of-life processes.
    • Implement a containerization strategy aligned with the organization's goals and application needs.
    • Transform monolithic applications into microservices by encapsulating them within containers for improved modularity and portability.
    • Enforce security best practices for cloud deployments, encompassing network configurations, access controls, and data encryption.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance and industry standard adherence for all cloud deployments.
    • Develop scripts and templates for automating cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
    • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform for maintaining consistency and repeatability within cloud environments.
    • Work closely with the cloud deployment team to optimize the CI/CD pipeline for continuous integration and delivery.
    • Offer ongoing support and technical guidance to application teams throughout and post-migration process.
    • Implement monitoring solutions for real-time tracking of application performance.
    • Identify and resolve post-deployment issues swiftly, ensuring minimal downtime.
    • Create comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, deployment procedures, and operational protocols.
    • Share knowledge and mentor team members on AWS services, containerization best practices, and cloud migration strategies.
    • Design and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.

    Required Experience:

    • 6+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
    • 6+ years of experience in designing and building application environments on AWS, involving services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3.
    • 8+ years of experience utilizing DevOps tools in a cloud environment, e.g., Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and SonarQube.
    • Thorough knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies.
    • Over 8 years of experience in cloud application development, deployment, and migration.
    • 6 years of experience in Compliance/Risk within Financial Services.
    • 5+ years of experience with Agile project delivery and Jira toolset.
    • Experience with monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus.
