Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery:

Plan, develop, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the IB Diploma Program mathematics curriculum for senior classes (11th and 12th grade).

Employ innovative teaching methodologies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.

IB Expertise:
Leverage comprehensive knowledge of the IB curriculum framework to create meaningful and relevant learning experiences for students.

Student Engagement and Support:
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, collaborative learning, and intellectual curiosity.
Provide individualized attention to students, offering academic support and guidance to help them achieve their maximum potential.

Assessment and Progress Tracking:
Design effective assessment methods, including formative and summative evaluations, to accurately gauge student understanding and progress.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, helping them identify areas for improvement and growth.

Professional Development:
Stay updated on the latest trends, methodologies, and developments in mathematics education and the IB curriculum.
Participate in workshops, seminars, and professional networks to enhance teaching practices and educational outcomes.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with fellow educators, department members, and school leadership to align teaching strategies, share best practices, and contribute to curriculum development.

Parent and Community Engagement:
Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas of concern.
Participate in school events, conferences, and meetings to engage with the school community and showcase student accomplishments.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
IB Certification (Diploma Programme) in Mathematics.
Demonstrated experience in teaching the IB Diploma Program mathematics curriculum to senior classes.
Strong understanding of IB educational philosophy, approaches to learning, and global contexts.
Proven ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for fostering student growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications in education or specialized training related to mathematics instruction.
Experience in curriculum development and designing inquirybased learning experiences.
Familiarity with technology integration for enhanced teaching and learning.
