    Who we are looking for

    Charles River Development is expanding its Software-as-a-Service platform and needs a proactive, versatile solution and support engineer to join the Infrastructure Support team. This team manages crucial systems supporting clients' Production, Disaster Recovery, and Test environments, as well as contributes to developing new support services and enhancing core infrastructure.     The team you'll be part of at Charles River Development (CRD) - now part of State Street - plays a key role in providing enterprise investment management software solutions to major institutions in areas like institutional investment, wealth management, and hedge funds. Together, we introduced the pioneering open front-to-back platform, State Street Alpha, in 2019.

    What you'll be doing

    • Manage Microsoft Windows Systems efficiently and troubleshoot running applications
    • Execute Disaster Recovery Procedures and demonstrate proficiency in them
    • Offer production infrastructure support for our diverse client base
    • Monitor and troubleshoot systems with a focus on continuous enhancement
    • Support third-party infrastructure applications and services like Citrix XenApp, file transfer, and job scheduling
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation and service topologies
    • Adhere to CRD technical standards, policies, and procedures
    • Collaborate with business and software teams to streamline support processes
    • Manage Support tickets following the ITIL Process
    • Be willing to work in flexible shifts and weekend maintenance rotations

    Design and implement automation solutions to optimize IT processes and workflows.

    Have expertise in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Microsoft Sentinel Queries

    In-depth knowledge of Active Directory architecture

    Education & Preferred Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in core infrastructure and web technologies
    • 4+ years in MS Windows Server system administration or application server support
    • 3+ years in Active Directory administration
    • Operational experience in production environments and Disaster Recovery support
    • Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancing, VLANs, VPNs, etc.
    • Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Git, etc.
    • Understanding of file transfer and web protocols like FTP, SFTP, HTTP/S
    • Experience with web/application server technologies like Apache HTTPD, IIS, Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere
    • Experience with tools such as Lansweeper, SolarWinds, Elasticsearch, and Dynatrace
    • Experience with cloud providers like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, GCP
    • Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) and application virtualization software like Citrix XenApp, Microsoft Remote Desktop Gateway
    • Professional IT certifications are a plus
