Excellent understanding of operating systems, networking, performance analysis, and

optimization

Extensive handson experience in at least one cloud platform
Azure(preferred), AWS, or

GCP

Extensive handson experience in using SQL/NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, MySQL,

definition of data models, query performance analysis, and optimization

Handson expertise big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, message

queues(Kafka), Apache Airflow, Azure ML, Elastic Search

systems design

Very strong end useroriented thinking, ability to define Minumum Viable Product while

having long term view

Proactive in setting and raising software engineering bar for software products/services/data

pipelines built by the team

Highly enduser/user, data, technologyoriented in thinking, analysis, and driving technology

decisions covering the entire software life cycle

Nice to have:

Working knowledge of the "Internet of Things" desired
Understanding of statistics fundamentals, machine learning algorithms such as regression,

classification, clustering, recommendation, anomaly detection, time series analysis,

preferably with an understanding of the mathematics behind those algorithms
