Research and Development (R&D) Officer

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage t
    he development of new color cosmetics, skin care, and personal care products from concept to commercialization, ensuring products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct
    thorough research and stay uptodate with the latest trends, ingredients, and technologies in the cosmetics industry to contribute to product ideation and innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams, i
    ncluding marketing, manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless product development processes.
  • Formulate and reformulate
    product formulations to optimize performance, sensory attributes, stability, and costeffectiveness while aligning with company goals and customer preferences.
  • Perform stability and compatibility testing on prototypes and finished products to ensure their performance and safety under various conditions.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for raw materials, and establish strong relationships to ensure consistent product quality and availability.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation of product formulations, testing procedures, and specifications for internal and regulatory purposes.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the R&D team.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetics Science, or a related field

  • 5
    to 12 years of progressive experience in cosmetics R&D, with a strong focus on
    color cosmetics, skin care, and personal care product development.
  • Proven expertise in formulation development, raw material selection, and cosmetic product testing.
  • Strong
    understanding of cosmetic industry regulations and standards.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Salary:

₹500, ₹1,500,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
