We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Underwriter to join our team.

As an EB Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating the risks associated with employee benefit plans offered by our clients.

You will play a crucial role in determining the eligibility, pricing, and terms of various employee benefit plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company standards.


Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate and analyze employee benefit plans, including health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
  • Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and standards for determining plan eligibility, pricing, and terms.
  • Conduct financial analysis of employer groups to assess their ability to fund benefit plans and meet financial obligations.
  • Calculate premiums and rates based on risk assessment, claims history, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce underwriting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Identify potential risks and recommend risk mitigation strategies to protect company profitability.
  • Collaborate with brokers, employers, and stakeholders to provide underwriting support and negotiate plan terms and conditions.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed underwriting documentation, reports, and proposals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments related to employee benefit plans.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as actuarial, sales, and claims, to ensure coordinated underwriting processes.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in employee benefits underwriting.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Indepth knowledge of insurance underwriting principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with employee benefit plans and related regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on risk assessment and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics.

Job Types:
Full-time, Regular / Permanent


Salary:
₹20, ₹30,000.00 per month
