Consumer Bank Distribution Strategy is a part of Consumer Bank Decision Science group in the Data Analytics organization and is responsible to build strategies to improve Chase Branch Network by providing actionable insights, analysis and recommendations to real estate and leadership for decision making on Chase branch placements and business

The Quant Analytics Senior Associate will be a part of the Consumer Bank Distribution Strategy team.

This position will be focused on being able to analyze branch business through data, provide insights and data driven answers to critical business questions related to branch performance, customer behavior & branch business geography and be able to present these solutions.

This is a high exposure role that offers frequent opportunities to work directly with presidents & general managers managing critical businesses in Consumer Bank.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support distribution strategy with data driven solutions for business problems and utilize analytical expertise to enable business growth.
  • Have abilities to synthesize large volumes of data into meaningful insights and help build actionable strategies.
  • Support regular and adhoc data requirements for questions from business.
  • Working independently with business partners to gather requirement and deliver on regular and adhoc analytical requests as per business requirements.
  • Interact regularly with business units, understand business goals and priorities, and play the role of an effective partner.
  • Proactively identify key growth areas and opportunities, and communicate recommendations
  • Helping the team to build strong and robust strategies that will help achieve business objectives of the group.
  • Develop domain knowledge of various financial services and products like demand deposit accounts, credit cards, mortgage / loans and retail operations including sales, monetary & nonmonetary transactions.
  • Be able to package and present data and insights in an executive and visualized format
  • Be able to mentor and support junior team members with business knowledge and train them as required.

Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as business, finance, economics, engineering, statistics, information system, or mathematics; Master's degree in a STEM field preferred.
  • Required work experience: 57 years of relevant experience in analytics, and datadriven strategic role(s).

Skills:


  • Excellent analytical ability as well as handson experience with analytical and statistical packages/databases (e.g. SAS, SQL); experience with GIS, big data technologies and machine learning is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and being able to communicate and interact effectively with leadership team to deliver insightful analyses and actionable recommendations
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and translate performances metrics into insights and recommendations, and package and present projections, performance trends, and performance outlooks in an executive format
  • Experience with data automation or data wrangling ETL tools such as Alteryx
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing voluminous data from raw sources
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, especially in a fastpaced environment
  • Understanding of the key drivers within the Branch Network Strategy is a plus
