Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined Line of Business-aligned (LOB-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.

GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products.

Global Private Bank Legal Entity Controller - Associate

Morgan Asset & Wealth Management Finance and Business Management ("AWM F&BM") has a new opening for a Controller based in Bengaluru (India).

This position will report directly to the Vice President. This role is for Global Private Bank Legal Entity Controller within AWM Line of Business.

As a Controller, you will maintain strong discipline and ensure financial statements are complete, accurate and done timely.

You will ensure regulatory requirements are met, and adequate control environment is in place, and our entities stay well capitalized.

Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the Firm's books and records in compliance with US GAAP with an emphasis on general ledger, asset class, operating systems and infrastructure controls
Assist in coordinating compliance with changes to corporate wide standards and policies
Provide documentation of work performed that will successfully withstand an audit by external or internal examiners
Oversee activities in legal entities across all line of business, product and operational areas
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the legal entity financial statements and business results.
Collaborate with functional partners including business, legal and tax on acquisitions and simplification of legal structures
Coordinate compliance with any capital adequacy, FX exposure, funding requirements and U.S or non U.S. external financial reporting requirements in partnership with External Reporting
58 years relevant experience (preferred)
An interest in accounting and control processes
Developing knowledge of CPA firms or regulated industries preferred
Developing understanding of financial statement structures and US GAAP
Comfort with daily, monthly or quarterly reporting cycles and strict deadlines
Skills in stakeholder influencing, communication, and articulating key insights and recommendations to senior business leaders
Experience using or willingness to learn Essbase, SAP, MS Office suite and/or data and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Python, etc) Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting (or related discipline) or equivalent experience
