Psychological Counselor
(School Students and Parents)

Location:
Kochi / Hybrid

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Psychological Counselor specializing in counselling and therapy for school students and parents.

In this role, you will work closely with the end users of Edisapp School ERP, including students and parents, to provide professional counselling services and emotional support via online modes.

Responsibilities:

Conduct online counseling sessions for school students facing academic, personal, or emotional challenges.
Provide guidance and support to parents in understanding and addressing their child's behavioral and emotional concerns.
Foster a safe and confidential environment for students and parents to express themselves freely.
Utilize psychological assessment tools to identify the needs and requirements of individual students.
Develop personalized counseling plans and strategies based on the unique needs of each student.
Collaborate with school teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing.
Address issues such as stress, anxiety, bullying, peer pressure, and academic performance.
Promote mental health awareness and emotional wellbeing among students and parents.
Maintain accurate and uptodate records of counseling sessions and progress.
Stay updated with the latest developments in counseling techniques and methodologies.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in providing counseling and therapy services to school students and parents.
Certification in counseling and therapy from a recognized institution is desirable.
Strong understanding of child and adolescent psychology and behavior.
Excellent communication and active listening skills.
Empathetic, compassionate, and nonjudgmental approach to counseling.
Familiarity with online counseling tools and platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
