Fitter (PEB)

We are looking for a skilled and hard-working
Fitter to become a part of our construction team. You should be able to understand and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings before starting any labor.

Your duties in this position will also include constructing and assembling mechanical systems and structural forms according to project plans.

Additionally, you will perform regular safety checks and maintenance on the equipment and machinery.

Familiarity with safety standards and regulations is also crucial, as well as great physical condition and stamina.


Fitter Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans for mechanical systems to understand specifications
  • Construct and assemble mechanical systems and structural forms according to specifications and requirements
  • Utilize welding skills to fuse structural components
  • Inspect structural systems based on local and state building codes
  • Set up and adjust machines, tools, and equipment
  • Closely examine structural systems and components to ensure they are safe and finalized
  • Perform regular maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment
  • Discover and fix faults and problems in construction by conducting diagnostic testing
  • Replace or repair damaged or defective structural components
  • Examine and measure fabricated components to make sure they are the correct size
  • Collaborate with the labor crew on larger and more demanding projects
  • Keep records of maintenance work done

Fitter Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working experience as a Fitter or a similar position in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of various power and hand tools and machines
  • Familiarity with local and state building codes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problemsolving
  • Communication and teamwork
  • Physical stamina

Salary:

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
