JOB DESCRIPTION
Cutting metal to required shape and size by gas flame, either manually or by machine. Examining material to be cut and marking it according to instructions or specifications.

The tasks a Gas Cutter is expected to perform include:

  • Cutting metal to required shape and size by gas flame, either manually or by machine
  • Examining material to be cut and marking it according to instructions or specifications
  • Mounting template and setting machine to cut to specifications
  • Making necessary connections and fitting the required size of nozzle or burner into the torch
  • Guiding flame by hand or by machine along the cutting line at required speed
  • Releasing and regulating flow of gas in nozzle or burner

Salary:

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
