Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for a Storage Administrator to join our global team.

Storage Administrators are technology experts who have strong knowledge and understanding of various Storage infrastructure components, ability to architect and implement scalable solutions to support various business critical needs of an organization.


In this role, you will support various IT critical storage infrastructure, work on technology roadmaps, architect, document, implement technical solutions, support & train support teams to ensure critical infrastructure issues are addressed proactively.

This role also provides opportunities to gain high visibility across several layers of our organization.


In this role you will:

  • Provide System Administration for Storage environment located globally across TI sites.
  • Administration of o NetApp filers o Hitachi SAN and NAS Storage o Hitachi GAD, Hitachi True copy, replication technologies o Hitachi Content Platform o Cisco/Brocade SAN switches o Dell EMC Power Vault SAN and Isilon NAS Storage
  • Work on Storage Management Tools o Hitachi Ops Center, Hitachi Device manager, Hitachi Storage Navigator, Hitachi Hi-Track, Cisco DCNM, NetApp Cluster Mode ONTAP, NetApp WFA, NetApp OnCommand Unified manager, NetApp Active IQ, KIWI syslog, AV scanner setup, Samba Manager (KNUKS), Dell EMC Isilon Insight IQ, Dell EMC Isilon Data Replication technologies.
  • Capacity and Performance monitoring of Storage Systems
  • Automation of repeating system administration and provisioning tasks using Orchestration tools and scripting.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Vendor coordination for any hardware/software related issues and update management.
  • Automate the fixes for recurring issues.
  • Coordination with multiple TI site teams and other IT support teams/management

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related degree
  • Two years of related work experience.

Technical Abilities - Good hands-on experience on (At least two of the following is required. More than two is a plus): o NetApp CDOT and 7 Mode cluster o NetApp Unified manager or NetApp Active IQ o Hitachi SAN arrays o Hitachi NAS filers or Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) o Hitachi Ops Center or Hitachi Storage Navigator or Device manager o CISCO MDS or Brocade SAN switches - Analyze data, innovate through data driven insights on capacity planning and performance monitoring of storage environments - Good understanding of user management and user permissions, CIFS and NFS protocols - Good technology skills in following areas: - o

Operating System:
UNIX, Linux (RHEL, CentOS), Windows o Scripting/Automation/Web: Python, PowerShell, Unix Shell


o Virtualization:
VMWare, Hyper-V o Network Data Management Protocol, SNMP - Debugging, problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. - Knowledge on computer hardware and computer networking fundamentals.
