Job Summary:

The Store Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, tracking inventory, and maintaining accurate records for the store.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth financial operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:


  • Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for the store.
  • Record daily sales, expenses, and other financial transactions.

Inventory Management:


  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in stock records.
  • Reconcile physical stock with system records regularly.

Budget Monitoring:


  • Assist in the preparation of the store budget.
  • Monitor actual performance against the budget and report variances.

Financial Reporting:


  • Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Provide timely financial information to management as required.

Cash Handling:


  • Oversee cash transactions and maintain an organized and secure cash handling process.
  • Reconcile cash registers and bank deposits.

Audit Assistance:


  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Vendor Relations:


  • Coordinate with vendors for invoicing and payment reconciliation.
  • Resolve any discrepancies with suppliers regarding billing and payments.

Month-End Closing:


  • Assist in the monthend closing process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Ad Hoc Reporting:


  • Generate ad hoc financial reports as requested by management.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Store Accountant or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Types:

Salary:
₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
