Job Summary:
The Store Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, tracking inventory, and maintaining accurate records for the store.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for the store.
- Record daily sales, expenses, and other financial transactions.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in stock records.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records regularly.
Budget Monitoring:
- Assist in the preparation of the store budget.
- Monitor actual performance against the budget and report variances.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Provide timely financial information to management as required.
Cash Handling:
- Oversee cash transactions and maintain an organized and secure cash handling process.
- Reconcile cash registers and bank deposits.
Audit Assistance:
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Vendor Relations:
- Coordinate with vendors for invoicing and payment reconciliation.
- Resolve any discrepancies with suppliers regarding billing and payments.
Month-End Closing:
- Assist in the monthend closing process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Ad Hoc Reporting:
- Generate ad hoc financial reports as requested by management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Store Accountant or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Job Types:

₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
