Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus, with a focus on continental cuisine.
  • Oversee daytoday operations of the kitchen, ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of performance.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dishes and refine existing recipes.
  • Manage inventory levels and ordering of ingredients to minimize waste and maintain cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
  • Support the Head Chef in administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and menu costing.

Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a continental kitchen, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of continental cuisine, cooking techniques, and ingredients.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to culinary excellence.
  • Culinary degree or certification is a plus.
