Senior Manager, Kids Education Revolution


Kids Education Revolution is a project that sits under the Innovation Cell at Teach For India. It was established in 2017 with the pursuit of
reimagining education WITH children, not just within TFI's program and classrooms, but also beyond TFI to explore the possibility of scaling principles that challenge the traditional education system. KER aims to learn and spread out a constantly evolving & growing understanding of an excellent education.


The
Phase 4 vision for the Kids Education Revolution is to
build a movement of more than
20,000 student leaders who will
reimagine education in partnership with their educators and a movement of
2 million people who will
advocate and act collectively for educational equity, in partnership with other teams at Teach for India.


The Kids Education Revolution Associate plays a critical role in driving Kids Education Revolution's vision of building a movement of student leaders by nurturing young change-makers towards exploring their fullest potential.

As an Associate, you will work on coaching and mentoring student leaders towards building sustainable change in their communities while exploring their authentic selves.

Some projects you will work on include
_Fellows of the Future_, a student internship at Teach for India's Institute and anchoring the
_KER Student Advisory Council_ and spreading these initiatives to our regions.

This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys coaching, designing meaningful yet rigorous learning spaces, working with diverse stakeholders and profoundly believes in the power of student leadership.


Responsibilities:


As an Associate at Kids Education Revolution

  • Endtoend
    project management and execution of Fellows of the Future and KER Student Advisory Council
-
Design a strong scope and sequence and content for
Fellows of the Future, KER Student Advisory Council and Student Fellowship
-
Work in collaboration with the Institute and regional teams to meet the objectives of the program stated above and help setup the same in regions
-
Design and execute training with students to build capacity towards running sustainable change-making initiatives and advocating for a reimagined education
-
Coach students by facilitating team and skill-building spaces, individual check-ins and leadership journey conversations

Set up rigorous, holistic and inclusive selection processes for our programs

  • Work closely with the team to
    design and execute powerful learning experiences for students and educators towards exploring the 3 Principles and 8Cs of KER

As an Associate at Teach For India

  • Contributing to
    the team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities
  • Serving as an
    ambassador of the Teach For India brand and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after committing time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply
  • Supporting with key organizational areas such as
    Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, Movement Building

Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations:


  • 03 years of professional experience in teaching/education
  • Strong content creation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to design and facilitate powerful learning experience
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
  • Agility, creativity, and flexibility in thinking
  • Critical thinking, problemsolving and the ability to think on your feet
  • Strong goal orientation and ability to meet targets/deadlines
  • Resilience and adaptability
  • Experience of having planned and executed complex projects with multiple priorities in a college or work setting
  • Experience of having collaborated effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups
  • Experiences of having taken initiative in the past
