Introduction


This is a Database Administrator Position to work in the Maximo/Tririga SRE team, responsible for all infrastructure support for production environments in the IBM Cloud.

Most of the activities are performed in DB2, however DB experience in other database offerings would be useful for this position as well.

The professional will have the opportunity to be in touch with best practices, techniques and tools, in a collaborative team, performing activities that includes database creation, refreshing database, user management.

Export and Import and other Database tools and utilities. The focus in automation is a plus. It is an amazing opportunity to be part of an innovative, agile and global team.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Provide DBA support on all aspects of databases administration including provisioning, backup/recovery, replication, deployment and real time production troubleshooting responsibilities on DB2 and Oracle

  • DB2 skills are required, MS SQL and/or Oracle Skills would be helpful. MongoDB, Cassandra and Couchbase optional
  • Install, configure, monitor, upgrade and maintain database in production and nonproduction environments
  • Provide 24x7 on call DBA support for production environment on rotation schedule and on Adhoc need basis
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Familiarity with IBM DB2, DB2 HADR, DB2 Tools install, configure, and upgrade. Demonstrable experience in Support, designing, troubleshooting. Ability to create best practices during implementation. Good knowledge of Linux, Windows OS and virtualization. Demonstrated experience in handling day-to-day Operation, Alert, Incident support, migration and break-fix support. Willingness to work in shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business needs. Good knowledge on shell scripting and/or Ansible.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • DB2 LUW expertise. Experience with any of these databases
  • Oracle, Couchbase, Cassandra, and Mongo is a plus
