We are looking to hire a CTI Expert, HFD in our Nutrition South Asia team based in Gurgaon:

BACKGROUND
A great opportunity to work on renowned HFD brands in the field of Nutrition i.e., Horlicks and Boost.

This role is within the Global HFD COE Nutrition CTI team, based out of Gurgaon.

The incumbent will be responsible majorly for the crown jewel i.e the South Asia HFD Nutrition vertical from Consumer and Technical Insights pov.

The role involves working on HFD brands, across several projects within multidisciplinary teams to generate consumer insights and translate them into technical briefs to guide development of superior products and consumer relevant product claims.

You will have the opportunity to work across many areas of the consumer technical insights agenda (strategic understanding, product drivers, competitor benchmarking etc) using traditional approaches as well as lean/agile/digital approaches.

This role offers many opportunities to make a direct impact on the business.


This role will give you the opportunity to work closely with the broader Unilever CTI team, agency partners as well as our partners: R&D, CMI and Marketing.


You are expected to have a proven background and/or a strong interest in consumer insights, with clear leadership skills that can be nurtured and developed.

You are expected to be passionate about consumers, and are expected to use multiple information sources to tell a succinct story and give a point of view, keen to be a true partner to R&D.


JOB SUMMARY

  • Plan, manage and run consumer studies as well as review historical data to help identify opportunities for superior products and claims and providing the R&D teams with clear guidance on how to deliver these.
  • Deliver the strategic understanding programme (e.g. understanding consumer product habits, and drivers of product choice) to identify opportunities for new products that better meet consumer needs.
  • Champion a comprehensive understanding of Unilever & Competitors products within R&D to help identify opportunities for competitive advantage.
  • Operate in a professional manner driving implementation of CTI best practices in Nutrition / Foods and wider F&R communities.
  • Encourage use of new techniques and processes to drive 'more for less' culture.
  • Build robust partnership with R&D partners to deliver efficiently and be a source of effective challenge.
  • Facilitate and support creation of effective KBS/Demos that communicate the product benefits.
  • Scout for market and product trends across F&R / Nutrition subcategories.
Key Skills

  • Strong analytical skills to be able to see patterns across data sources
  • Creative thinking to find new ideas and ways of doing things
  • Working knowledge of consumer (quali & quant) and sensory research approaches, testing methodologies etc
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Awareness and understanding of business and R&D
  • Good understanding of statistics / Domain / detailed understanding of statistics and other tools used in research design as well as consumer data assessment.
Relevant Experience

  • 7+ years' experience in consumer research, R&D, marketing, or a demonstrated ability to rapidly pick up skills and knowledge in a new area Or 6 years of active CTI work experience, handling consumer researches (both quants and quals).
  • Knowledge of category and brands would be an advantage
  • An individual who has worked in Foods, Beverages or Functional nutrition (preferred) in the industry would be preferred.
