Duties

Basic Function of the Position:
The position is located in the Engineering Service Center (ESC) Office, U.S. Embassy, New Delhi.

The incumbent will perform inspections, installations, preventative maintenance, and emergency repair of unclassified technical security, counterterrorism, and life-safety equipment deployed by Diplomatic Security (DS) at U.S.

diplomatic missions overseas. S/he will study and make recommendations for ways to improve the effectiveness of the security systems at U.S. diplomatic missions in the ESC New Delhi including constituent posts. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned by the agency.

Education Requirements:


This position requires completion of High school (Class 12) in addition to two years of apprenticeship or an advanced equivalent local level of occupational training as technician, electrician, or mechanic.

Level 3 (Good working knowledge) in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required. This may be tested.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Valid Indian Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license is required.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.
