A welder, also known as a fabricator, designs, cuts, welds and shapes metal parts that can be used for various metal and steel structures.

Welders work on many projects, from ones as big as bridges and large buildings to ones as small as metal rods.

A welder can also create new structures or be employed to repair already existing ones.


Welding and Fitting:


  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various metals including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fit and weld components.
  • Measure, cut, and shape metal materials to precise specifications using hand and power tools.
  • Assemble and fit metal parts according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on welded joints and structures to ensure they meet company and industry standards.

Salary:

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
