Technical Marketing Data Analyst


The Team:

The S&P Global Enterprise Analytics team is at the forefront of driving digital transformation and enhancing marketing effectiveness through data-driven insights.

We are looking for a talented Technical Marketing Data Analyst to join our team and support the Marketing Operations Center of Excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop and implement robust and scalable data models for measuring marketing performance from diverse data sources.
Write high-performing SQL code using Alteryx to extract and process data from various databases.
Drive process improvement initiatives for data storage, retrieval, and maintenance to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with Data Analysts to resolve technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

Contribute to the development of the data architecture roadmap and advocate for Data Analysts' needs to ensure the technical solutions meet their end-user requirements.

Stay current with industry trends and technologies, and identify opportunities to innovate and drive data-driven decision-making throughout the enterprise.


Requirements:


3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Marketing Analyst, with a degree or experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.

Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases, query authoring, and data warehousing.

Knowledge of marketing, sales, and media data sources such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, G4, Salesforce, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Data Collection, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Real-Time CDP, On24, Twitter, LinkedIn, Conversica, Drift, etc.

Proven track record in developing data pipelines and real-time data ingestion from various sources, such as API's and csv files.

Experience with data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with unstructured datasets.

Understanding of database and analytical technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL databases, Data Warehouse design, BI reporting, and Dashboard development.

Strong customer-facing skills, ability to drive discussions with peers, and partner effectively with all levels of the organization.
Proactive, driven, and highly organized with a desire to dive into the data and work under tight deadlines.
