Job Summary


The Hospitality Faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality education to students enrolled in Higher National Diploma (HND) and Awards for Training and Higher Education (ATHE) programs in hospitality management.

The faculty member will be actively involved in curriculum development, teaching, research, and contributing to the academic and professional development of students.


Key Responsibilities:


1)
Teaching:


  • Deliver lectures and practical sessions in hospitality management courses.
  • Develop course materials, syllabi, and assessment strategies.
  • Mentor and advise students, providing guidance on academic and career matters.

2)
Curriculum Development:


  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the curriculum to ensure it aligns with industry trends and standards.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the curriculum.

3)
Research and Scholarship:


  • Engage in research activities, including publishing academic papers, participating in conferences, and staying current with industry trends.
  • Encourage and support students in their research projects.

4)
Professional Development:


  • Stay updated on industry developments, emerging trends, and best practices in hospitality management.
  • Participate in professional development activities and attend relevant seminars or workshops.

5)
Administrative Duties:


  • Assist with administrative tasks related to program management, such as assessment and accreditation requirements.
  • Serve on departmental or university committees as needed.

6)
Industry Engagement:


  • Establish and maintain connections with the hospitality industry, facilitating internships, industry partnerships, and guest lectures.
  • Provide students with realworld insights and practical experience.

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of a Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field; a Ph.
D. is preferred.

  • Professional experience in the hospitality industry, such as hotel management, food and beverage, or event management.
  • Teaching experience at the college or university level is highly desirable.
  • Strong research background and a history of academic publications.
  • Familiarity with accreditation standards and quality assurance in higher education.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in the field.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region.
  • Multilingual proficiency, including English and Arabic, is an advantage.
  • Experience with online and blended learning platforms.

Salary:
₹60, ₹85,000.00 per month
