Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Edit and proofread event-related materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
  • Collaborate with the content team to develop and refine event messaging and ensure it aligns with the company's brand voice.
  • Review and edit promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and advertisements, to ensure they effectively communicate event details and engage the target audience.
  • Edit and proofread press releases, ensuring they are newsworthy, well-written, and adhere to journalistic standards.
  • Edit and optimize website content to improve readability, search engine optimization (SEO), and user experience.
  • Provide editorial support for internal communications, such as newsletters, memos, and presentations, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in editing and content creation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Editor in the events industry, with a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent command of the English language, with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in using editing software and tools, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Grammarly.
  • Familiarity with event management software and platforms is a plus.
