    _Sustainability __professional_**_ with relevant experience to join our growing team and work collaboratively with the Regional Strategic Consulting Teams. _

Responsibilities:

Some of the key responsibilities of the position and skills sought include:

  • Working collaboratively with Regional Strategic Consulting teams to help win, deliver and manage projects for a broad range of public and private sector clients.
  • Assessing design documentation against sustainability assessment criterion.
  • Developing sustainability specifications, reports and presentations for delivery to client.
  • Leading multidisciplinary sustainability workshops and communicating sustainability opportunities, risks and detailed assessment criterion
  • Monitoring progress, preparing and submitting documentation for submission against sustainability rating tool requirements for third party verification.
  • Interpreting and translating complex contractual obligations and requirements into tangible actions for design teams and contractors.
  • Contributing to the upskilling of regional and global Jacobs teams in sustainability on infrastructure projects and championing the team in your region.
  • Proactively search for and identify new links and opportunities for outreach both internal and external.
  • Assertiveness and willingness to take the initiative, e.g., drives projects forward proactively, makes things happen, has a cando attitude and presents possible solutions to more senior staff.
  • Willingness to learn to improve the spectrum of technical and softer skills required from a good consultant.

Here's what you will need:


  • A postgraduate or professional qualification in Bachelors / Masters' degree majoring in Engineering / Science/Environment or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience delivering sustainable outcomes in the infrastructure or built environment sectors.
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience in Sustainability Rating & Certification Tools (e.g. ISC, BREEAM, LEED GreenStar or Equivalent)
  • Experience and demonstrated ability of managing delivery of sustainability objectives and requirements on large design and construction projects.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently assess project plans, designs and specifications against sustainability assessment criteria.
  • Ability to prepare accurate sustainability specifications, sustainability assessment reports and other technical written content as required.
  • Ability to liaise directly with clients, design teams and colleagues as part of multidisciplinary teams globally.
  • Awareness of commercial issues relevant to the delivery of sustainability outcomes on design and construction projects.
  • Experience of carbon assessment, GHG or Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) of infrastructure and/or built environment projects.
  • Strong research & analysis ability supplemented with excellent report writing capabilities.
