    Haleon is hiring a Data Operations and Governance Lead who will drive the design, build and operations of a function that will have end-to-end accountability for embedding effective Data Operations across Haleon. Working with the GFS organisation and Haleon Data Office, the Data Operations and Governance Lead will be both hands-on and able to manage a team to implement an effective modern Finance Data Organisation including governance framework, operations improvements which will deliver the required organisational structure and practices to sustainably deliver Data Lifecycle as an enduring capability. The role will require cross-functional interaction with leaders and teams across Haleon's business functions and markets, partnering with a wide array of stakeholders to deliver Data Governance initiatives. This position presents an opportunity to play an active role in delivering an important and strategic function which will be critical to Haleon's continued success. The Data Operations and Governance Lead will design, build, and operate the required capabilities and embed best practice in line with the Data Governance Strategy and our strategic priorities. They will focus on enabling industry best practice to safe and effective use of data, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement of capability and efficiencies within the organisation.

    As Haleon moves towards becoming a truly data-centric organisation, this is a high-impact and high-visibility role that requires strong communication and collaboration skills, an analytical approach, deep Data Transformation, Finance (and beyond) data Operations and Governance experience and the ability to engage stakeholders from all functions and regions across the organisation.

    This role gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, the main of these are:

  • Work with the GFS leadership and key business stakeholders to evolve the vision for how Haleon will govern and manage its data assets across Finance and connecting organisations.
  • Radically Transform Data Operations and Governance for Finance organisation to enable Haleon Data strategy.
  • Actively contribute to the roadmap which will deliver on the vision to create and embed data transformation including data ownership & stewardship, data operations and lifetime management, data quality management, data cataloguing, amongst others, are established as foundational pillars to ultimately ensure the use of trusted, high-quality data across Haleon.
  • Work with the GFS organisation to implement the Haleon Data Governance framework for finance. Design and implement a data governance organisation with the roles, responsibilities, and processes to support this as an ongoing activity.
  • Build measurable and actionable KPIs to manage data lifecycle to provide a transparent view of key metrics to stakeholders, to share progress and encourage a culture of accountability.
  • Implement a Finance Data Risk Framework to effectively manage enterprise data risk.
  • Partner with Information Security and Data Privacy to define and build solutions that ensure all necessary data policies are understood and appropriate ownership and stewardship is in place to ensure compliance.
  • Assess and where required, support implementation of technology solutions required to support Data Lifecycle management.
  • Establish strong relationships with key leadership, business partners and functions with the goal of fostering a collaborative approach to developing, managing, and sustaining quality data.
  • Use data analytics techniques to enhance finance processes, reporting and controlling.
  • Identify the skills required to implement and sustain data governance practices and, where required, upskill, or recruit new talent to build the team.
  • Lead a team to deliver digital data capabilities for Haleon finance.

    • We are looking for professionals with these characteristics to achieve our goals:

  • Deep experience in designing, delivering and operating Data lifecycle operations and governance capabilities in complex organisations across multiple markets, functions, and data domains.
  • Experience in use data analytics tools, technologies, and processes to solve finance processes.
  • Proven record in running simplification programs in Finance, Vendor, Customer and Product Data space.
  • Thinking outside the box and be brave and radical when designing new solutions
  • Track record of running Data Transformation Programmes
  • Hands-on experience of delivering effective Data Governance and Operations
  • Designing and operating multi-tiered Data forums with a variety of stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of strong delivery and the ability to lead/influence others.
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Ability to engage and communicate across all levels of the organisation.
  • Supporting the management of Enterprise Data Risk against identified KRIs.
  • Understanding of regulatory considerations for Data Governance in a multi-market environment across a variety of data sources.
