The Team:
The S&P Global Ratings Data and Content Management team is tasked with unlocking data & delivering content to our analysts and customers.
The team acts as the main point of engagement with our customers on projects, including analytical partners, to discover and drive new and enhanced content creation through definitions, lineage, mapping, readiness, and inventory.
The team ensures availability of content and its end-to-end completeness and quality for both internal and external use, according to our governance standards, enabling customers to make fast, informed decisions.
The team sits within our Data and Technology group, as part of the broader Data & Content team, and works in close partnership with many teams throughout the Ratings organization (including Compliance, analytical, commercial, etc.) and cross-divisionally with CRISIL and Market Intelligence.
The Impact:
You will be a Data Associate with the Structured Finance Data and Content Management team and will serve as a point of contact for "all things content" related to your team across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
Data Associates are critical to capture and disseminat e our S&P Global Ratings data and content for analytical use and external customers.
Responsibilities:
Underst and requirements for information from various sources, tools, and documents, to enable clear interpretations of meaning for analysts and clients ;
Support process updates as part of criteria and commer cial use case development and lead oper ationalization of these processes;
Understand and be able to make sen se of data used for analytical p urposes in deriving a rating or an evaluation;
Have a v iew of RatingsDirect through the Capital IQ product and Ratings 360 product and how existing ratings data fits in and how it may e nrich current content offerings;
Partner with data quality and data operations to introduce new operational and quality measurements for establishing content " fit for use ";
Partner with Data Engineers and Information Architects on project efforts ;
Working with business stakeholders, data visualization and reporting specialists and/or data scientists to determine analytics data consumption mechanisms;
Interact with internal and external clients as necessary ;
Thorough knowledge of business and data and conte nt organization role in the data value stream in support of business value ;
Undertake data field mapping and support maintenance of data dictionary ;
Approach platform in a client-centric manner with suggestions that could lead to enhancements.
Basic Qualifications:
At least 2 years of Structured Finance or data management experience with technical skills required ( e.g. data querying, data analysis)
Intermediate SQL skills, Intermediate MS Excel skills with VBA preferred
Familiarity with database architecture and ability to manipulate large data sets
Strong interpersonal skills with exceptional time management.
Ability to work with little supervision and devel op a process from the bottom up
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Agile (scrum) experience a plus
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2+ years of experience
Strong communication skills with the ability to present, influence and negotiate
