    Description


    • Understanding the Purchase requirements of the projects.
    • Develop & implement new strategies for delivering optimum solutions with respect to cost & inventory.
    • Forecasting the upcoming demand.
    • Timely meeting the Purchase requirement for each project. Analyze & Inform the delivery requirements & time frame for project material & services.
    • Closely coordinate with PPM / Head – DM for timely deliveries and resolution of issues. Review of PO Checklist & Acknowledgement. Coordinate & Lead the kick off meeting, if applicable for the ordered item.
    • Develop a matrix for follow up which will include the VDRL and manufacturing schedule using MOSS and planning package.
    • Carry out expediting activities in order to ensure, that the contractual delivery date as mentioned in the PO is met without jeopardizing / hampering the overall Project Schedule.
    • Ensure operation of Vendor Delivery Management Portal online. Arrange Vendor's Invoice, Packing list and COO and create shipping and clearance request in ILT by uploading the above mentioned documents and filling the relevant information.
    • Arrange for B/L or DO from Bank for foreign consignments, where goods are consigned to bank. Ensure receipt of items at Job site in good condition and ensure preparation of GRN for the goods received.
    • Verify and approve the invoices and arrange for Vendor Payment. Contract Administration & Execution, Negotiate back charge for final settlement, if any.
    • Expedite and coordinate efforts with Vendor to ensure prompt replacement of material that has been 'short-shipped', damaged or reported missing in transit. Arrange Vendor's FSR at job site as per Project requirements.
    • Complete Vendor rating checklist & inform Buyer / CM Establish a project schedule for engineering, procurement of bought-out components, fabrication, assembly and testing with vendor and ensure implementation of the same.
    • Monitor engineering & procurement schedules to ensure that the procurement deliverables are scheduled.
    • Provides weekly reports on procurement progress, informs management on areas of concern and advises remedial actions and alternatives to maintain the schedule.
    • Monitors contractors', vendors' and sub-contractors' schedules with active interaction with buyers to ensure that the project has a realistic and achievable construction schedule. Responsible for and plans, organizes and manages the procurement process for the Project.

    SPECIFIC SKILLS : Negotiation, Time management, Communication, Cross-cultural teamwork

    INDUSTRY SPECIFIC SKILLS : ERP KNOWLEDGE

    Experience : 6 to 15 Years

    Qualification : Bachelor of Engineering, Preferably Mechanical Engineering.
