Roles and Responsibilities
- Daily visits to all wards and patient holding units.
- Collection and tabulation of daily data of all incidents of hospital acquired infections.
- Collection of needle stick injury incidents and assisting infection control team in PPE.
- Ensuring that samples of blood, stool, sputum, urine, swab, when indicated are collected and dispatched to the laboratory on time.
- Initiating hospital infection control from while documenting from nosocomial infections.
- Computation of ward wise or procedure wise statistics.
- Daily visit of laboratory to ascertain results of previous days sample
- Warning treating doctor on any positives cultures.
- Monitoring and Supervision of infection control practices among hospital staff.
- Training of nurses and paramedical personnel on Infection control policies and hand hygiene.
- Conducting educational activities related to infection control practices for housekeeping and nursing aids.
- Assist in bacteriological studies of all cases.
- Conducting infection control quizzes.
- Undertaking innovative infection control awareness programs for staff, patients & relatives.
- Ensure correct practice for Biomedical Waste Handling.
- Maintaining data related to Infections & Infection Control Monitoring.
- Plan awareness programs.
- Responsible for the nursing care management of a unit along with HN
- Accountable for physical, psychological and emotional condition and stability of the patients
- Ensures proper admission and discharge of the ward patient
- Liable for maintaining proper patients records
- Inspecting patients case records
- Giving counseling and psychological support to the patients
- Visit all patients and make sure that the total health needs of the patients are met
- Develops and implements plans for the direction and supervision of nursing services and for the improvement of existing methods in the care and treatment of the patient.
- Serves as liaison between staff and administrative personnel by relaying pertinent information, and by discussing and resolving problems and issues.
- Ensures adequate staffing for daily activities Reviews and revises current nursing policies and procedures to improve quality and quantity of services provided.
- Assists in the formulation of budgetary estimates for nursing services.
- Attends and participates in the development of orientation and inservice training programs for nursing service personnel
- Participates in nursing activities to augment nursing staff.
- GNM/B.Sc. (Nursing) /M.Sc & ICN Certification
- Should be registered with Maharashtra Medical Council
- And relevant experience should have worked as Infection Control nurse for 35 years and administrative role

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Salary:
₹300, ₹600,000.00 per year

Education:
- Bachelor's (required)
Experience:
- Nursing: 2 years (preferred)
License/Certification:
- MNC Registration and ICN certification (preferred)
