Responsibilities:


  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients' vision and eye health.
  • Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and refractive errors.
  • Perform surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, LASIK surgery, ICL, corneal transplantation, and other advanced surgical interventions.
  • Prescribe medications, eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical aids as needed.
  • Educate patients about their eye conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including optometrists, primary care physicians, and other specialists, to provide coordinated care for patients.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in ophthalmology, including new treatment modalities, surgical techniques, and medical technologies.
  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.

Requirements:


  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency training in ophthalmology from an accredited residency program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology.
  • State medical license to practice ophthalmology.
  • Strong clinical skills and diagnostic abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Commitment to providing highquality patient care with compassion and empathy.
  • Willingness to participate in oncall rotations and work flexible hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty of ophthalmology (e.g., retina, cornea, pediatric ophthalmology, oculoplastics).
  • Experience with advanced surgical techniques, such as microincisional cataract surgery, mínimally invasive glaucoma surgery, or refractive surgery.
  • Research experience and/or publications in the field of ophthalmology.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Salary:
₹160, ₹200,000.00 per month


Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay
