Description

The Production Incharge is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the production process within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing the production activities, managing the production team, and ensuring that the production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning:
Develop and implement production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory requirements. Collaborate with the planning department to optimize production capacity and resource allocation.

Team Management:
Supervise and lead a team of production workers and operators. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.

Quality Control:
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed established standards. Conduct regular inspections to identify any production issues and take corrective actions as needed.

Process Improvement:
Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements. Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety training and risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents.

Equipment Maintenance:

Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule and perform routine maintenance of production machinery and equipment to prevent downtime and production disruptions.


Inventory Management:
Oversee the management of raw materials and finished goods inventory levels. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure a steady supply of materials.

Production Reporting:

Prepare and present production reports to management, highlighting key performance metrics, production efficiency, and any challenges faced during the process.


Budget and Cost Control:
Collaborate with the finance department to develop production budgets and ensure adherence to cost constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on product quality.

Training and Development:

Organize training programs for production staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in a production supervisory or management role within a manufacturing environment.

In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing methodologies.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse production team.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with cross-functional teams and senior management.

Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing production demands.


Salary:
₹40, ₹55,000.00 per month
