Position Title:
Operating Theatre (OT) Nurse**
Location: V Trust Eye Hospital Thamarassery

Job Summary:

The Operating Theatre (OT) Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality preoperative care to patients before, during, and after surgery.

This role includes preparing the operating room, assisting the surgical team, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.


Key Responsibilities:


Preoperative Duties:


  • Assess patients before surgery to ensure they are prepared for the procedure.
  • Verify patient identity and surgical site.
  • Prepare and organize the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist in positioning the patient and ensuring their safety and comfort.

Intraoperative Duties:


  • Assist the surgical team during the procedure by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
  • Maintain a sterile environment to prevent infections.
  • Monitor the patient's vital signs and communicate any changes to the surgical team.
  • Handle specimens for laboratory analysis according to protocols.

Postoperative Duties:


  • Provide postanesthesia care and monitor the patient's recovery.
  • Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and instructions.
  • Ensure proper documentation of the surgery and patient's condition.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
₹9, ₹15,000.00 per month


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus

Education:


  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:


  • Nursing: 1 year (preferred)
- total work: 1 year (preferred)


License/Certification:

  • Nursing License (preferred)
