Job Description Summary:

As a Automation Architect with Anesthesia and Respiratory Care team, you will work on a state-of-the-art platform that provides clinical intelligence at the point of need for caregivers.

We are developing a first of its kind hospital wide solution.

You will be responsible to develop the overall Automation strategy for an Anesthesia system, consisting of hardware and the complete software stack.

Create and implement the overall verification strategy along with program Lead System Designers with a focus on maximizing automation coverage, reducing manual testing and high rigor on Challenging tests.

Essential Responsibilities:


In this role, you will:

  • Develop the overall automation strategy for an anesthesia system, consisting of hardware and the complete software stack based on Qt QML.
  • Evaluation, tradeoff analysis, driving PoC and selection of various automation test tools available.
  • Define and own automation framework which is scalable and reusable.
  • Selection of appropriate vendor and resources for automation support
  • Own define and drive the automation strategy.
  • Strategizing and executing End to End platform automation.
  • Create the automation plans and reports for the complete subsystem.
  • Work closely with scrum masters and Software Lead Program Integrator on tight integration between development and test engineers in scrum teams.
  • Work with the software developers to implement integration and verification automation at all levels of the software stack and system.
  • Evangelize, strategize, introduce and implement reliability testing frameworks to support integration and to be first class DevOps citizens.
  • Review automation results looking for compliance to our quality management system.
  • Partner with and provide direction to fellow team members to diagnose bugs/defects and formulate solutions.
  • Define Challenging verification strategy
  • Aware of and comply with the Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply

Educational Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in developing products through testing and automation activities.

Technical Expertise
(Must Have Skills):


  • Strong Experience in BDD-Behaviour Driven Development & TDD-Test Driven Development.
  • Strong Experience to programmatically test products; measure test coverage; develop best Automation, profiling, and Performance/ Load testing tools; and drive testability and diagnostic ability into the product.
  • Linux Operating System knowledge.
  • Understanding of system design concepts and subsystem interactions and interfaces.
  • Software automation experience and tools e.g. Squish, Labview, Python, Selenium or Java etc.

Desired Characteristics ( Preferred Skills):


  • Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging testing and debugging complex design problems.
  • Knowledge on network protocols.
  • Understanding of unitlevel testing.
  • Knowledge of cloud based testing environment
  • Prior experience in medical device product development and testing.
