    Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2024 and beyond, we are currently seeking an experienced Head of Cybersecurity Programme Delivery to join HSBC Technology.

    Business Area Overview :

    The Cybersecurity function is responsible for enabling the safe execution of HSBC's global business priorities to enable them to support our growing customer needs and securing our customers financial future - grounded in mature, simplistic foundational controls that mitigate the latest cyber-attacks and advanced targeted threats by leveraging a data driven approach.

    The Head of Cybersecurity Programme Delivery is a senior role within the Strategy, Programme and Execution function that has specific responsibilities for providing oversight and driving the execution of change initiatives (ensuring alignment across both Run the Bank (RTB) activity and Change the Bank (CTB) projects) across the Cybersecurity function.

    The role holder will work closely and collaborate with the core delivery areas within Cybersecurity as well with the business facing teams and stakeholders to ensure change initiatives are aligned with the overall Cybersecurity Strategy and embedded within the Business.

    What you will do :

  • Responsible for executing change initiatives on behalf of Capability and Control Owners, ensuring change is well defined, has clear requirements, benefits are understood, and the initiatives are executed to time, plan, and expectations. The Change delivery function also ensures that any change is successfully embedded into BAU and customers are equipped to formally accept the change and its associated benefits.
  • Responsible for governing and controlling the Cybersecurity change programme in addition to ensuring the programme is run in the most efficient way and is in compliance with all control expectations of a High Profile Programme (HPP). In addition, manages the Annual Planning cycle for the programme and ensures demand is prioritized, outcomes are clear, benefits are documented and change initiatives are resourced appropriately.
  • Plan and manage all business activities required to operationalize change that Cybersecurity delivers. Leads the change programme in identifying demand, prioritizing the demand, agreeing requirements and solutions and works collaboratively to monitor the execution status of initiatives. The function ensures traceability of outcomes back to our "customers" and ensures the business is completely ready to accept change delivered by the Programme.
  • Responsible for the delivery of the initiatives in the Cybersecurity strategic roadmap. Takes end-to-end accountability for the delivery of the committed outcomes, working across the Function as needed and utilizing internal and 3rd party partners to execute change activity.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Strategy, Programme and Execution function, as well as with other Cybersecurity Central functions and Cybersecurity Business Enablement teams across Global Business / Global Functions / Regions to ensure demand (including regulatory requirements) is prioritized in accordance with the Cybersecurity strategy and business demand.
  • Seek to build flexible global deployable solutions that drive the strategic outcomes of the Cybersecurity Function, including operational efficiency and enhancing the security of the enterprise.
  • Manage a PMO utility function to effectively govern the programme using disciplines such as planning, risk management, outcomes management, tooling, governance, and reporting. In addition, provides oversight and management of services that are delivered by the PMO out to the change delivery teams (, standard internal processes such as service introduction)
  • Manages the Change Control process and associated governance for the Programme ensuring changes are within appetite and tolerance and any impacts are understood, quantified, and socialised with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver a programme of continuous improvement across the Cybersecurity change function, establishing lean techniques to improve processes and automation.
  • Lead a delivery team of 50+ programme and project professionals ensuring there is a developmental learning culture and project management best practices and techniques are embedded.
  • Support the development of appropriate change operating budgets and works in close collaboration with the financial management function to ensure forecasts remain in line with targets
    • Requirements
  • Relevant experience of 18+ years in BFSI
  • Strong understanding of industry standard Cyber controls frameworks , NIST FSS is required
  • Experience of cyber risk controls quantification
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data and Architecture environments
  • Experience of managing significant change programmes for Cybersecurity in a large-scale financial services environment is essential
  • Understanding of project management principles and a relevant Project Management qualification (, PRINCE II, Agile).
  • Experience in running Agile programmes
  • Financial and accounting acumen, with ability to budget, track and control expenditure across both CTB and RTB, in addition understanding and application of the Banks cost taxonomy , Charges, Directs and Profit & Loss (PNL).
  • Highly developed leadership and management skills, with experience in team building and managing a wide range of complex strategic and transformation projects.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate other managers and staff, employing appropriate management styles
